Binding the body was a particularly challenging task due to the tight radii on this 3/4 scale Brian May Red Special shape. The original BMG Mini May only has edge binding on the upper face edge. I used a Makita RT0700CX4 handheld laminate trimmer/router with the appropriate StewMac bearing guided router bit. I pre-shaped the white plastic binding by heating it with a heat gun and bending into into the rebate. I glued it on with a standard cyanoacrylate superglue and filled any voids with pure white Milliput brand epoxy putty.
