Since 2017, I have attended four Brian May Red Special themed enthusiast meet-ups: three in the U.K. at Theale Village Hall (TVH) near Reading and one in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. These are primarily social events for friends from different countries with a mutual interest to get together. However, people usually bring interesting guitars, amplifiers, effects and other equipment to show and demonstrate to stimulate discussion. A number of regular attendees are either professional or experienced amateur musicians and, where possible, people will jam together.
Although they are all very busy in their professional roles, members of Brian May’s support team try to support the enthusiast community by attending the U.K. meet-ups. In the past three years, we were fortunate enough that Andy Guyton, Nigel Knight and Pete Malandrone were able to attend and bring instruments, equipment and share their knowledge and expertise.
This links below will take you to reviews of these enthusiast meets with a selection of the best photographs taken on the day and embedded videos of gear demonstrations, talks and jam sessions. I will add concert reviews with media where copyright permits in due course.
